Genevetion, a dangerous place to buy a watch
Please, be careful with Genevetion, a Swiss watch and jewlery shop associated with New Stone Age. I purchased a watch online (a vintage Rolex 1500) and three weeks after, when tired of waiting for the watch to be sent I demanded a refund, they finally sent me something: an empty box, although perfectly sealed, so no one stole anything. I was fooled.
Arshak Garabetian, the owner of Genevetion, never accepted my refund requests. He first asked for time to investigate what happened with the watch. Then he suggested I could have robbed it and after I initiated a dispute through PayPal he stopped answering my messages.
I am left with no money, no watch and no certificate. But hey, I do have a pretty shitty Rolex box that cost me 1590€.
Please, don't buy from Genevetion or from Mr. Garabetian if you don't want to be fooled.
Here are the pictures I took from the empty box:
As you can see below, Genevetion declared a watch box (boite montre), they didn't lie on this one. But they were supposed to send a merchandise insured for 1500€ and they declared 1000 chf (aprox 830 €), so another lie.
Mr. Arshak Garabetian (from New Stone Age and Genevetion, who also runs Orient 67 in Arnhem) suggested that the watch could have been robbed. No and no again. Here's another evidence that I was the first to open it:
Mr. Garabetian now after all this evidence suggests that I am the one with the watch and that he is going to the police. Well.. I just hope he does so, that way I can prove he's a professional scammer with all these irregularities from his side and that he declared already just a box on customs and avoid other people from being fooled.
So remember, if you come across Genevetion, New Stone Age or Mr. Arshak Garabetian just make sure you don't get fooled by their merchandise. They may not have it and take advantage of your interest.
My name is Javier Cañada, I live in Madrid and my email address is email@example.com. I am an honorable and honest guy. I have been buying items online since 2002 and my eBay reputation rating is 100% with almost 200 transactions.
Don't hesitate in contacting me if you need further proof of what I'm saying or a copy of any of the email messages exchanged between Mr. Garabetian and me.
NOTE ABOUT THIS PAGE: This page exists because Mr. Garabetian refuses to assume his responsibility. After I filed a police claim against Mr. Garabetian Paypal refunded me the price of the watch, although I lost the insurance and shipping money.
Recently Paypal asked me if I would be so kind of returning Mr. Garabetian his Rolex box. I did so and I also paid the shipping of that. I am a gentleman, he's not.
